FIELD NOTES FROM THE EDGE

LIVE PURE PROJECT — FIELD NOTES FROM THE EDGE

This Is Not a Drill

Kanye West appears to be unraveling in public again. On April 10, 2025, he publicly apologized to Jay-Z for previously attacking his children but quickly undermined the gesture by making an inappropriate comment about Beyoncé. But instead of mocking or praising, we suggest something radical: healing.

Not rehab. Not rebranding. Healing. The kind you can’t trademark.

The kind that starts when you step into a forest alone, without an entourage, and realize that the Earth doesn’t care who you are—and that’s a good thing.

The Performance Was Real.

Lady Gaga took the Coachella stage on April 12, 2025, and did something rare: she sang. Deep breaths. Controlled phrasing. A voice that was a living, breathing instrument. No lip-sync. No AI filters. Just raw, muscular presence. She sang like someone who’d been through something and survived.

In a landscape of festivals where the bass drops louder than the thoughts, Gaga reminded us that music used to mean something. It used to come from the soul, not the playlist algorithm.

Meanwhile, at the Glitter Apocalypse

Over on another stage, someone in a mesh tank top was yelling 'PLUR!' while throwing a vape pen into a field.

If you listen closely at certain megaraves, you can hear 2,000 people scream 'this is healing' while stepping over someone convulsing near the porta-potties.

Andy Kaufman would’ve been proud. Or terrified. Possibly both.

On Politics (Briefly, and Then We Move On)

Yes, the Trump situation continues to unfold. Trials. Campaigns. Noise.

But here’s a Live Pure take: if you’re growing your own food, harvesting your own medicine, and talking to owls instead of pundits—then you probably don’t need to worry about the headlines.

We hope it works out. For everyone. Even for him.

Single-Source Farming Is the New Rebellion.

While the world flings opinions like confetti, single-source farmers are watering tomatoes with compost tea. They’re rotating crops. They’re harvesting breath.

They’re growing food without pesticides. Without middlemen. Without needing a personal brand.

And that kind of sovereignty? That’s what real freedom looks like.

The Sound Between the Notes.

When Gaga breathed between verses, the audience fell silent. It was the kind of quiet you can’t buy. It was reverence.

There is music in that breath. In the gasp before a lyric. In the exhale after a scream. Janis Joplin had it. So did early Mick Jagger.

And Gaga—standing alone under a black sky with real wind and real silence—reminded us that the voice is sacred. Especially when it’s human.

Take a Load Off, Fanny.

The Band said it best: 'Take a load off, Fanny... and you put the load right on me.'

We were never meant to carry all this alone. And we were never meant to be entertained to death.

Drop the story. Drop the performance. Grow something. Sing badly. Touch dirt. Cry without a filter. Listen to thunder instead of podcasts. Let the moon see you naked.

This is where healing begins. Not in a headline. But in a heartbeat.
